New to RC Kids?
Ages: Kids ages 0-4 can be checked into their class right away.
Where to Go: Upon arriving at church, a Serve Team member will gladly assist you and your family to get your kids checked in. Once you arrive at the Kids Check-In table you’ll be asked to fill out a basic info card with the following personal information.
NOTE: We value your privacy and will not share this information with anyone:
Parent/guardian name(s)
Child’s name
Child’s birthdate
Home address
Phone number
Any special instructions (allergies, special needs) for your children
How check-in works
Before Service: When you walk into our Kids area, you and your child will go to the Check In table. Your child will be checked in and all you have to do is pick up the name tags exclusive to your family. Each child will have a name tag that they wear and you will have a security tag.
After Service: After the service is complete, you will return to your child’s room and show your tag in order for your child to be released back to you.
During Service: Should there be a need, a volunteer will contact you using the phone number you have provided during check-in. Please make sure to have your phone available should someone need to contact you. In the event the volunteer does not hear from you, they will come into the service to inform you of their contact needs.
What happens?
Music & Story: Kids get to sing, dance and be a little crazy with worship music and engage with a Bible story so that they can encounter Jesus at their own level during the Sunday service.
Crafts: Our volunteer team has put together a hands-on activity to help kids better understand the Bible story and songs. Make sure to ask them to show you what they made in Kids!
Free Play & Snacks: At the start and end of service, kids get the chance to move around and play with an assortment of toys (blocks, magnet tiles, play-dough) and take a small snack break. To help prevent issues with food allergies, we ask that no outside snacks be brought into the classroom. If there’s a concern with snacks, this will be indicated on your child’s tag and you are welcome to check with the classroom leaders.
Why We Worship Together
At our church, we believe faith is "caught, not just taught," which is why we invite our K-5th graders to join the main service for a shared worship experience. We embrace the wiggles and whispers of young worshippers as a sign of a growing community and providide them with intentional tools to help them engage with the Word alongside you. By worshiping together, we are not just occupying a row; we are showing them what it means to worship, pray and engage in the Word together. You are teaching them and it will last them well beyond the Sunday service.
