WORSHIP DIRECTOR
OVERVIEW
Rock City Church is a church plant launching in Westminster, Colorado. We’re looking for someone excited and ready to take on the challenges of starting and leading a ministry from scratch. This is an opportunity to live on a mission in a community where 90% of people aren’t followers of Jesus and to build a ministry that allows people to encounter the presence of God through worship –– maybe for the first time! As a start-up, applicants should anticipate fundraising or working bi-vocationally.
ABOUT THE ROLE
The Worship Director is primarily responsible for leading the Sunday morning gatherings and providing spiritual care through music, media, and other creative expressions.
The Worship Director will provide leadership and oversight to the worship, production, and media ministries of Rock City Church. Their main focus will be training servant leaders to serve as worship leaders and create opportunities for creative expression. The Worship Director will also be responsible for planning and organizing the weekly gathering in conjunction with the Lead Pastor.
WHAT YOU’LL DO
Plan, organize, and lead spiritually during Sunday gatherings
Recruit, train, and build up worship leaders
Develop avenues for creative expression of worship
Oversee the church’s worship tech ministry
Organize worship nights and times of prayer as a church
Provide spiritual care for those in need in conjunction with other Directors
Other responsibilities as assigned
SKILLS NEEDED TO SUCCEED
Musically gifted and able to lead others in their musical abilities
Ability to train, develop, and coordinate with servant leaders
Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
Ability to self-motivate and make independent decisions
Effective in organization and administration
Strong spiritual maturity
High school diploma or GED
