We’re Moving To Denver!
In August 2020, the Lord began to stir something in our hearts through our quiet time in prayer and studying Scripture. While we couldn’t directly express what it was, we sensed that God was preparing our hearts for something new that he was going to reveal to us. As we continued to pray, there were two things that kept appearing before us: church planting and Colorado. Without knowing what the Lord was stirring in our hearts, we began to have people speak these things over our lives and we kept seeing and hearing of these things everywhere!
We decided to take an initial trip to Denver in April 2021 to spend time with friends, explore the area and pray if this truly was the direction God was leading us.

In a way that is difficult to explain apart from the Holy Spirit speaking to us, during our time in Colorado, we could not escape the overwhelming feeling that this was our home and this is where God was calling us! This lead us to begin exploring when and how God was going to make this happen which brought us to the North American Mission Board (NAMB). We began their assessment process and in April 2022, we received the news that we had been approved to officially move forward as church planters in Denver, Colorado!
What’s Next For Us?
We will be moving to Denver in August and Bryson will be spending the first year doing a Residency Program with Journey Point Church to learn more about church planting, receive training, adapt to the new culture and begin the process of pinpointing a location and building a launch team!
How Can You Pray?
Transition – during this time, we will be stepping away from First Baptist O’Fallon and living in Springfield temporarily. We are praying for FBCO and the student ministry during this transition. We are also praying for all the details of moving to a new state. We are thankful to have a home arranged for us!
Finances – for the first couple years, we will rely mostly on financial support from churches and individuals to cover our expenses and help us begin building finances for the church. We are praying for partners who will join us in both prayer, giving and going. You can learn more about financial support here.
Launch Team – there are some who have already committed to joining us in Denver to help launch this church and we pray for others who may consider joining us to help reach and equip the church.
